Mommy Moments - First Smile
This week’s theme: FIRST SMILE
As far as I remember, this is the first ever photo that we shot with Aj smiling.
Aj was only I month old here and looks how cutie he is!
Pwedi na siyang mag-artista noh!
This one in the other hand was his first ever smiley shot while sleeping! Lol! I think he’s dreaming of lots and lots of dudu here. Lol!
More mommy moments here.
Officially a Potty-Trained Kiddo! :)
Aj will be 2 ½ years old on February 6, 2009 and I’m just so glad that at that age he’s officially out of the diaper-wearing stage. Yes! We’ve successfully potty trained him with the help of my MIL. Well, I’m a working mom so my MIL will do the training when I’m gone.

We started training him at the middle of December, where we usually take off his diaper every morning and tell him to say wee-wee when he needs to pee. When he uttered the word wee- wee we ask him to go to the bathroom and in front of the toilet bowl for him to pee. At first, he would say wee- wee after he had pee on his shorts! lol! But as time pass-by he had finally adopted the routine and would go straight to the bathroom to pee- on the toilet bowl! Though he’s having a problem to shoot his wee wee directly to the bowl because of his height, but at least the basics were there! Lol!
Just a little routine, a little command and more patience and that’s it, that’s how we potty trained him. I’m a very proud mommy! Bravo! Aj was a potty expert at about a month of training!
At the early stage of the training, we had some itsy bitsy problem on his poo-poo time. Why? Because he doesn’t poo without a diaper on and every time we made him wear one, he poops! So because we’re a bit concern about his pooping, we made him wear a diaper after being diaper-less for more than 8 hours, the moment he wore it he sat and pooped, so I changed his diaper again and he poop again! I think he was able to dispose 4 diapers then! Lol! Good thing, those days are a little bit over. (I hope)
Congratulation baby, you’re officially a potty-trained kiddo!
(Special thanks to my MIL!
)
Now, it’s time to search for online university degree.

Big Cars for Aj
Other than the toys we bought here. Aj also wants us to buy these toys…
Yeah, these are Aj’s eye candies now, that we have to save upon. You know “naman” how this car’s cost, right? So as of now, we tried to avoid the toy section where he can have a view of these vehicles or else will be P2,000 to 4,000 short on our budget! Lol! He actually wants the car andthe motor but the sales clerk gave us the pink sampler car for Aj to try and Aj loved it! So, Aj wants the car but the blue one of course! lol!
Wish mommy more opps son so I can buy you the blue one next month. {dinamay pa ang anak, lol!)
The Importance of Vaccine
As I’ve said, we went to pedia a while ago and while we’re there I suddenly saw a medical brochure about vaccination. I got one and browse thru it and suddenly remembered that we haven’t completed Aj’s vaccination for his age! I have already scheduled some days last year for his shots but only a 5 in 1 vaccine – DPT Booster, Polio and 3 shots of Meningitis. God! I hate myself for having this kind of memory gap! Urgh.
Fortunately though, Aj didn’t have any serious illness last year because of his good immune system, though he had some cold, coughs and fever – which are common illness of humans, right? Thank God.
Now, I already set my mind set and told my hubby as well (in case I’ll have some memory gap again) for the shots that Aj must have this year.
1.) Measles, Mumps and Rubella
2.) Flu
3.) Hepatitis A
4.) Typhoid
5.) Chickenpox
By the way, speaking of chicken pox, did you know that Chickenpox does not only give you 250 to 500 itchy blisters, it can also lead to:
· Bacterial infection of the skin lesions
· Pneumonia
· Central nervous system manifestation
· Reye syndrome
· Hospitalization
· Death
· Congenital Varicella Syndrome abnormalities in the newborn ( pregnant woman)
Gosh, I swear to have these 5 shots administered for Aj this year!
Now its time for me to search for a online college.
Toy Hunt: {Round Toys}
Aj just admire the shape of circle. He usually loves balls and any toys with wheels and steering wheels.
Just look at him..
This is actually his 6th ball! lol!

More toys here.
Time for me to look for some online college degree.
Sick
We just came home from the pedia this lunch. Yeah, we went to the pedia because Aj is sick again. And you know that when Aj is sick, we don’t sleep.
You see hubby had coughs a few days ago which made me had this painful sore throat as posted here and Aj having a fever. This is the 3rd day of his fever, that’s why we decided to have him check by his pedia and the diagnosed was – Phlegm. Dra. Aguas gave him an antibiotic, decongestant, salbutamol and a paracetamol as Aj’s medication for 3-5 days.
Hayy… too many medicines to drink, I bet Aj will cry a lot when he sees these meds. He just hates taking meds! Oh well, he have no choice, he has to get well and get rid of the virus.
I just hope he’ll feel better this evening so that all of us could have a good night sleep. Zzzzzzzzzz…
Mommy Moments - Latest Birthday Photo
Hello! For this week Mommy Moments, the theme is all about “Latest Birthday Photo”

Aj just had his 2nd birthday last August 4, 2008. The celebration was pretty simple, we did everything at his lola’s house. We just had some cakes, pancit, sandwiches and ice cream with our relatives. He actually have 2 cakes - 1 cake the day before his birthday ( the date of the party ) and the exact day of his birthday.

Guess what’s Aj sipping here..
Any guess?
TAHOOOOOOOO!!!
Aj just love this snack. He usually had this during the morning when the “Magtataho” comes at our gate.
Well, for others who don’t know what taho is, here’s a Wikipedia definition of it:
Tahô is a Philippine snack food made of fresh soft/silken tofu, arnibal (brown sugar and vanilla syrup), and pearl sago (similar to pearl tapioca). This staple comfort food is a signature sweet and can be found all over the country. The Indonesian and Malaysian equivalent of this dish is Tahu.
On Aj’s Wikipedia, taho only means YUM YUM or SARAPPP!!!
