I feel so bad! Really really bad!!!!

As I’ve mentioned before Aj had a fever and some episodes of phlegm disposals. So, to relieve him from his illness, I’ve bought the medicines that his Pedia’s prescribed. Knowing Aj – he really hates taking medicines and going to his Pedia. I think he develop that fear when he was a year younger, where he was always in his Pedia’ clinic for check-ups and shots. So, just imagine how hard it is to convince him drink his medicines or “Lulu” in his language. Unfortunately, hindi siya makukuha sa santong dasalan so we don’t have any choice but to resort to something more forceful.

Wait! I’m not saying that we’re hurting him just to drink his meds ha! What we do is cradle him in our arms, hold his hands (so he can’t get his hands in his face), and we open his mouth to drip the medicine in it. Get the picture? Anyways, by doing that he really cries a lot. Well, maybe because he thought that we’re doing something to him that’s really bad but we’re really not. We just want him to drink his meds so he can get well as soon as possible. But of course as I child he felt bad. We’ve been doing that ever since because he really doesn’t want to drink his meds and even his vitamins.

But yesterday, I was really stunned when I got home. My MIL said that Aj was doing fine – no fever anymore just coughs. I felt relieve. Then I went to our room to check on Aj, he was doing fine but he kept on saying “ Mama, tapon lulu, takot” which means, ”Mommy throw the medicine, I’m scared. He keeps on saying it till I told him to “Hush” and said, “Mommy’s here”. My MIL heard our conversation and said that Aj has been saying the phrase “ Tapon lulu, takot” since that morning! Oh my ano toh? Parang natrauma ata anak ko sa mga medicines!!! Poor baby! :(

For the rest of the evening na kasama ko cya he said “ Tapon lulu, takot” for 4 times- twice when he saw my SIL grabs something in the ref (where his medicines are kept) and twice when I called my hubby to bed. The last time he uttered it was the minute he went to sleep. Oh my, anong nangyari sa baby ko! Sobrang awang awa ako sa kanya.. para talagang na trauma sa gamot. :( Kaya we decided to keep all his meds in a storage that he wouldn’t have a view and also to stop giving his meds. Hindi na namin kaya painumin siya ng gamot. Huhuhuhu

Hayy.. I was really hurt to see him like that. My heart was really broken that evening. As in sobra! After that questions kept on hanging on my mind- Na-trauma ba cya talaga? Kailan kay maalis ung trauma if ever? Sumobra ba kami? Mali ba ginawa namin? Anong gagawin ko? Hayy..

Now for me to settle down a bit, I just want to know from you guys if Aj’s case was normal? And I would like to ask for some suggestions on how to eliminate Aj’s trauma- particularly on taking medicines. Please help me, I just don’t know what to do! :(

♥ AJ is sick again :( ♥

Uhummm… I feel so tired and sleepy. I’m in the office now with an acne, a baggy eye and a worried heart. Why?

Aj didn’t sleep very well last night because of his fever.

For 2 days now, he has been nursing a cold. Then after a day he had some coughs. Then just last night it developed into a fever. Urgh! He has been crying and waking up since 12:00 to 4:00 this morning. Poor baby, he really feels bad and irritated. I think he got the cold virus from my SIL. Tsk tsk tsk :(

I just hope he feels better when I get home later.

♥ Halloween is Coming! ♥

Whew! September is about to end and Halloween is around the corner. Hihihiihih

Why do I hear like I’m so excited? Well, because my son is more than 2 yrs old and it means that I can register him on some trick or treat party this Halloween! Lol! Oh I just can’t wait to shop for his Halloween costume next month.

Hmm.. What will it be? I would really want him to look cute and dazzling at the same time.. :)

BTW, I saw these goody outfits at Parents.com a while ago.

So, what will it be? Hmmm… it seems like these costumes are too small for Aj. Oh well, maybe they have sizes right? :)

You know how much I love buying books for Aj right? And somehow I told you how much Aj loves reading with them.

Goodnight Moon and the Very Hungry Caterpillar were his early favorite’s books. Would you like to see what they look like now?

And here what’s left with his caterpillar read….

Yeah, the toddler in him strikes again and this time he laid all his might to his books. Urgh! Poor reads… Hmmm…

I don’t really know why he loves tearing up things. I guess it’s a part of his toddler instinct. Don’t you think? ;)

♥ Aj's new Pet ♥

Opps! Not Marian Rivera….lol!

Its Aj’s fave dolphin….

You see, for days now, Aj has been captivated with this toy dolphin that my SIL bought. It’s a blue plastic dolphin that he loves to cuddle and bang. Yeah! Aj loves bangging the fish. Hmm… maybe because he wants to see the fish swim {like the one in Maisy’s video}, lol!

See! :)

I just hope this dolphin survives until the end of this month, lol! You know how toddlers are in terms of safe-keeping ;)

♥ Who's Maisy? ♥

Aj’s currently addicted to…

Maisy!

Yeah, you read it right. He’s uber addicted to this mouse (“agi” in Aj’s words). Well, I think some of you don’t know- Aj is crazy about rats, mice or whatever you call them.

maisey-1.JPG

And just recently, my MIL revealed that to me that Aj watch Maisy 5 times each day! Gosh! (as in hindi cya nagsasawa). Good thing “Maisy” is an educational cd for toddlers. Hayyy…

d.JPG

We bought these cd’s last 2 weeks ago when we tried to look for some “Tom & Jerry” cd’s for him to watch ( ‘coz Jerry mouse is a mouse). Fortunately, the sales lady suggested that we buy Maisy instead.

So that’s what we did. Aj has 2 of them right now ( ABC & Numbers/Colors ) and we’re still on the hunt for more. Well, even though Aj’s spend his day watching the cd, I saw a lot of advantages – he learns so many things from it. He can utter new words now like crabs, boat, snake, etc and can count and distinguish colors like Maisy does. (namemorized na ata nya ung cd) lol!

Anyways, I’m hoping to find more of these later, so I’m off to the mall again! Ciao! :)

Aj’s Favorite Snacks

1. Noodles – pancit, canton or mami noodles- any of these surely makes my little boy burp.

2. French Fries – Aj loves this one too. I also try to cook them at home and not buy from Mc Do or Potato Madness stalls

3. Fita, skyflakes and buttercream – he just love how crunchy they sounds when they bite them heheh

4. Pringles – (my inlaws fault!) I specifically don’t want Aj to eat this junkie but every time we go to the mall, he amazingly know how the Pringles packages looks like and would do anything just for us to buy him that. Geez! But I made sure that he drinks a lot of water after that.

5. Gardenia – yeah, he loves the loaf ( kahit walang palaman ) :)

How about your kiddo’s: Vannie, Mich, Milet, Jody, Yen, Thea, Kathy and Alpha

♥ Aj's Photo Shots ♥

I thought posting Aj’s cool pixs here. These are his photo’s from 1st month to 1 year :)

I haven’t finished the second year yet. :)

♥ Aj loves… ! ♥

His finger that is! Just look at him!

finger.JPG

We tried to sway him away from this habit but sometimes nakakalusut cya. I think this finger habit started when he’s last tooth sprouted just a month ago. Just look at him he’s like chewing his finger like a yummy gum!

Then sometimes, he chews on his rubber nipples.

finger-3.JPG

I know this finger thingy is normal for young tots like Aj, but I’m just worried that he might chew on some dirts and stuffs that had stick to his fingers db? Oh well, we have to check on him nlang every now and then.

♥ Another Leap Pad ♥

I was planning on buying this one for Aj.

A Leap Frog My First Learning System

As some of you know, Aj has his very first leap pad when he was about 1 year old. Yeah, I bought him a Little Touch Leap Pad before and we had been playing with it ever since. But if you’re wondering now where that Little Touch went? I’m sorry to say that it just went bye bye last month. Why? Aj jumped on it!

Yeah, sa bigat ba naman ni AJ anong laruan ang hindi masisira! Lol!

So there! At first, I was searching for another Little Touch to replace the older “damage” one, but when I saw the Leap Pad (above), I somehow thought that Aj needs a toy that’s advanced for his age. That’s why I’m planning to buy it.

But of course, as a usual routine in my everyday life haha, I had second thoughts! (again!) Why? Only 2 reasons:

1.) Aj maybe to young for the toy (the leap pad is suitable for 3 years to 5 years of age) – but atleast advanced db?

2.) Aj might accidentally jump on it again! (bye bye leap pad again! )

Hay…

As a working mother, who is always not at home to nurture and guide Aj in his development. I tried to find some ways to fill that gap, and one way I thought of was to buy him some educational toys that he could play and learn with even when I’m not around. That’s why every now and then I try to buy him some toys for his benefit.

So, what do you think? Should I buy him an advanced Leap pad or find a replacement for his Little Touch?

Here’s a link for the Little Touch & for the Advanced Leap Pad for your comparison :)
